I am (obviously) a sucker for anything Wellesley-related.

And for baking. Especially anything chocolate.

And for lore regarding my alma mater + baking + chocolate.

I must make this cake!

I started to feel better this evening, so I whipped this together and it’s currently in the oven. If the batter and the smell are any indication, this will be delicious.

Also, I’ve used up a 25-pound bag of flour in about 4 months. …I might bake a lot.

It’s a double-edged sword that baking is my stress-reliever.

But… they’re so darn delicious.

The list:

my great-grandma’s turtles
fudge
peppermint bark
chocolate covered oreos
truffles
peanut butter balls
rum balls
marshmallows (peppermint?)

Also on the list, but not candy:

Christmas cookies
chocolate peppermint bars
other delicious looking recipes from the Cooky Book (my favorite thing ever)

because why not?

Also, because there’s too much snow to get to school. Actually, that’s not true. There’s too much snow to park in the parking lot at school and know that you’ll be able to get out after you park because they don’t plough (plow? equally acceptable?) on the weekends.

And of course, in my wisdom, I left my planning stuff all at school. I brought literally nothing home with me. Bah.

I baked bagels!

really impressed! i don’t have a mixer but i’ll have to try this one day.

It’s super easy— most recipes are actually not for mixers. Try it! …Although in NY, I’m not sure I would. Mm, NY bagels. That’s why I love these. These are NY bagels.
