  • Alarm goes off at 6. Snooze.
  • Alarm goes off at 6:15. Snooze.
  • Alarm goes off at 7. Snooze. Or apparently turn it off.
  • Body wakes up with a shock at 7:55. I’m usually at school by 7:15. Students arrive at 8:30.
  • Throw on clothes, eat the fastest breakfast ever, drive to school and be glad I live only 5 minutes from school.
  • Barely get ready and have no time to try out the model I am doing with my students today before we do it.
  • Plod through the morning with antsy kids, only half-awake because no time for coffee.
  • Scrap the idea that all the students can model the Earth’s seasons at the same time because, apparently, they can’t handle it.
  • Pull them by small groups while the other students read.
  • Meet with students individually about TCAP scores and sit patiently while they ask millions of questions.
  • Realize it’s time for lunch and you’ve run out of time.
  • Thank the universe that it is a Wednesday— a half-day for PD. 

Is it the weekend yet? I’m ready for the weekend now.
