Another view of my classroom library at the end of today.
Part of the email I had to send parents:

Your child was playing behind a bookshelf in our classroom library, in spite of my previous warnings not to go behind the bookshelf. Because they were behind the bookshelf, I did not see exactly what happened but have been told by the students involved that there was some slight roughhousing going on. Because of that, the bookshelf fell over into the library and some children were hit by the book bins that fell. No one was injured, but the library is unusable for the time being.

I plan for there to be consequences for these students- probably coming in before or staying after school to put the books back where they belong.
Sigh. Really?
