Ugh, it’s early.
And it will be earlier next week when conference and kids start.
It’s the little things.
I cleaned and vacuumed the living room and kitchen today, as well as finally putting away my embarrassing pile of laundry (guys, there were sweaters at the bottom of the basket. It is the end of July.). I also bought some new yummy smelling air fresheners at Target and fixed my constantly-falling tension rod and curtains in my sliding glass door. Dishwasher is empty, all the dishes are done, and I am packed up to go back to school tomorrow morning.
Physically, I am ready. Mentally? Not really there yet unless you count being tired tonight.
Spend 10 minutes putting things generally away, then vacuum.
It makes the whole space feel instantly cleaner and better.
This summer, I:
-went to my 5-year college reunion
-spent time catching up with friends in NY
-went on walks with The Boy and by myself
-read books, drank coffee, and cuddled with the cat
-created PD for EduPD
-attended a beautiful wedding
-went adventuring at Garden of the Gods with The Boy
-learned to knit
-saw Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me! at Red Rocks
-went to the Ren Fest with my faves mrsjdr and mrjdr, but definitely did not see enough of them (attempting to fix that with dinner tonight!)
-had an amazing vacation with The Boy and met his extended family
-spent time with people I love
-watched way too much Top Chef & Veronica Mars
-cooked and baked all kinds of delicious food
It’s been lovely, summer. I get you today and tomorrow and then intermittently on weekends until the fall. It’s been a great one.
Yesss it’s thunderstorm time!
It’s nice and cool and a little humid and thundery.
Puppy barks. Adorable.
